About the Founder
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, founder Bethanie Ho has always been a creative spirit, constantly seeking inspiration and new things to learn.
The excitement of back to school shopping triggered her love for stationary early on. Her favourite childhood planner allowed her to show her individuality and was open to her creativity. The idea of creating a planner came from years of using ones that didn’t quite give her the same excitement as it once did. Bethanie aimed to create a planner that would guide individuals in planning and executing their goals.
While juggling several jobs at the time, Bethanie had been secretly dedicating her free time towards designing and creating the content. She brought it to life by learning bookbinding and launched her first run of 2018 planners. With the planners successfully selling out within 2 weeks of starting her business, Elysian Paper Co. was brought to life.
In spring 2019, Bethanie started a line of limited edition products that aim to further cultivate her creative endeavours by bringing new and exciting products to the market. As each limited collection sells out, a new one will be introduced, with a percentage of the proceeds from each line going to a featured charity.
As part of our goal to expand the range of products and brands we offer, we decided in 2022 to rebrand ourselves as ELYSIAN. Elysian Paper Co. now represents our in-house stationery collection.
